Zippity Doo's Childrens Hair Care Review and GIVEAWAY

McCain Purely Potatoes - Review

I was recently selected to take part in the McCain Purely Potatoes Bzz campaign through Bzzagent.

The day I received my Bzz kit in the mail, was hectic, it was late afternoon, I was taking care of my baby, had to pick up my son from school and still needed to prepare dinner.  I opened my bzz kit envelope and discovered a coupon to try out McCain Purely Potatoes for free!  I had to go to the grocery store anyways, so I thought this would be a perfect solution to my dinner dilemma!

I chose the mashed potato Purely Potatoes, they also have sweet potato, but I am not a huge fan of that kind!

The directions on the package allowed me to either make the potatoes in the microwave in the bag they were already in, or make them on the stove.  I decided to cook them in the microwave.  I popped them in and turned the microwave on for about 15 minutes then continued doing whatever it was I was doing.

15 minutes later, the beeping of the microwave reminded me that dinner was almost ready!  I took the McCain potatoes out of the microwave and followed the remaining directions; open carefully, place in bowl, mash with butter and milk, season to taste!  That's it???  that's all I had to do to have real mashed potatoes for dinner???  I felt almost guilty because there was no peeling or cutting involved, McCain did it all for me!

I definitely give McCain Purely potatoes 2 thumbs up! They are almost effortless yet so good, they are actually real mashed potatoes without all the work!  There is no over boiling pots of starchy water, my toaster did not get covered in splattered starch from peeling and cutting, I was amazed!!!

I will continue to buy bagged potatoes for things like scalloped potatoes, but that's about it, no more peeling and cutting for me, I will continue to buy the McCain potatoes, at around $2.00 or so a bag, why wouldn't I! 

3 of us ate dinner the night I made the McCain purely potatoes, myself, my 6 year old son, and my husband.  There were actually mashed potatoes left over after dinner, and that's with my son having a second helping and my husband and I each having a hearty helping!

Again, I can't stop raving about McCain purely potatoes, I wish they had of come up with this idea a long time ago!   but hey, better late then never, right?
